SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS!

Welcome!

Monticello Frostbite Challenge is an annual organized event planned by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry to bring friends and neighbors together for a winter celebration!

Monticello Frostbite Challenge was created in conjunction with the NAIFC (North American Ice Fishing Circuit) Qualifying Ice Fishing Tournament. The 2nd Annual Frostbite Challenge is January 6-8th, 2012. The activities begin on Monday, January 1st when the first clues are released for the Medallion Hunt and the coordinates are released for our local Geocache Hunt.  Friday Night the fishing tournament events begin with the Friday Night Seminar at River City Extreme at 6pm.  This NAIFC Pro Staff Seminar program is geared toward educating fishers to the world of ice fishing and the best products in the industry. The seminar is open to the public. Special Guest: Ron Schara and his dog Raven will be at the event. Sponsored by GMC Trucks and West Metro Buick GMC. Dinner ($8/person) and cash bar available.

Saturday morning the big Pond Hockey Tournament begins at 8am at 4th Street Park along with the U.S. Smoosh Racing Championships at 4th Street Park from 2-5pm, where teams of 4 race for the title of U.S. Smoosh Racing Champions.

Saturday Morning The NAIFC’s Kids Camp is at the Monticello Middle School from 10-10:30am indoors, and 10:30am-noon outdoors on Pelican Lake. This is not limited to kids! All kids are given education and tips to ice fishing, free fishing supplies to take home, and free lunch at the lake.
